Before the product is applied, the substrate should be thoroughly cleaned, utilizing IP Surface Cleaner and then dried using lint-free IP Surface Cleaning Cloths.
The use of Acetone as an additional surface cleaner is also recommended, particularly in the case of low-energy surfaces, such as glass, or on any complex body shapes (incorporating concave surfaces). In order to ensure the best results, this product should be dry applied.
When the material has been applied into convex or concave contours, and is thereby subject to deformation, it is then imperative that post-heating is carried out, whereby the vinyl should be heated over the contours to a minimum temperature of 100°C (for best results, use an infrared thermometer for accuracy).
In the event of lamination, it is essential that the IP 2520 prints are completely dry before introduction of the laminate.
