ImagePerfect™ 5906 Structure Board
Structure Board (FR)
ImagePerfect™ IP 5906 Structure Board is a 130mym, monomeric, white PVC with a high level of opacity and a heavy emboss that allows for scratch-resistant properties.
It has been created to introduce an aesthetic uplift to various sign and graphics substrates and to allow for their protective lamination. Some substrates in wide use within the Signmaking and Digital industries are prone to becoming scratched and/or engrained with dirt and this can reduce their practical life. The use of IP Structure Board, however, will extend the usable life of the product. Typical substrates for consideration would include trade show panels, trade show walls, doors, furniture, sign panels, partition screens, signboard substrates (although the product has an ‘eggshell’ finish rather than a ‘superwhite’ finish, it is actually whiter than most signboard substrates) and any number of lightweight, graphic-display boards that are generally utilised in shop builds, point-of-sale applications, retail displays, exhibit displays, counter-top promotions, etc.
Additionally, because of the pattern within the product’s emboss, it can also be considered for wallpaper applications on flat, smooth surfaces. IP 5906 Structure Board product has been introduced to compliment IP 5901 Whiteboard, IP 5902 Clearboard and IP 5904 Blackboard as a core specialty option.
It cannot actively be promoted as a printable product from an inkjet perspective because, although it is indeed print receptive, the heavy emboss does not allow for the high levels of ink stability that would typically be seen on a softer product. This is, however, just a consideration for solvent based inkjet output, so the product can, therefore, be considered as a suitable and very effective medium for both UV-cured and latex printing.
